WALK-IN VISITORSWalk-In Visitors are able to enter the E-Support Center. Walk-In Visitors are able to create problems, search the Problem Solution Database, open a new problem, search, update, or close problems that you or other visitors have created, and view open problems. To enter as a visitor, click the "Walk-In" button when the E-Support Center login page appears. This page appears after all required files have downloaded. You may [optionally] enter your e-mail address on that page. If you do so, you will receive e-mail when activity occurs on problems you open. Once inside the Center, you have the following capabilities: Open a New Problem. This function allows you to enter a problem, as well as select characteristics for that problem [such as hardware platform or software version] using pull-down selection lists. These fields are not required, but are helpful when searching for your problem [or similar problems to yours] at a later date. After entering the problem description, click Submit to Technical Support. You will be returned to the main page. Search, Update, or Close a Problem. Here, you can enter your Problem ID number to retrieve your problem. Once retrieved, you may review, update, or close it. You may also use various fields, such as
License, Product, Status, or Platform to filter the problem database to retrieve only those problems meeting the entered criteria. If no criteria is entered, the system will display all problems entered by Walk-In Visitors.
Specific problems may be displayed by doubleclicking the desired problem's description. Search Problem Solution Database. This function allows you to search the database using the same techniques outlined above. View Open Problems. In this area, only problems that have not yet been closed by either users or an ICS Technical Support Engineer may be searched and reviewed. |
