The OSC Mounting Assembly consists of three components: the Universal Chassis, the Protective Enclosure, and the Universal Wall
Mount Kit. The Universal Chassis provides a convenient mount for both the OSC Base and Expansion Boards. The OSC Wall Mount Kit
provides an easy-connect mounting surface for the Universal Chassis. The OSC Protective Enclosure provides an easy-connect
mounting surface and locking enclosure for the Universal Chassis. Both mounting strategies support up to four chassis.
Universal Chassis
The Universal Chassis provides a mounting assembly with physical support and protection for the OSC's BaseBoard and Expansion
Boards. Both the OSC BaseBoard and Expansion Board ship mounted into a Universal Chassis. Both boards snap on and off for screwless
installation and replacement of the boards. The chassis may be installed in the Protective Enclosure or on the Universal Wall Mount.
The Universal Chassis' mounting holes are designed to match easy-connect threaded studs on the Protective Enclosure and
Universal Wall Mount. Each chassis has twenty-four (22) tie wrap connection slots located on the top and bottom for cable
management purposes. The Universal Chassis' are attached together by the integral hinge (left side) with hinge pin and a snap-in nipple
(right side) when the chassis is in the closed position. Universal mounts and versatile mounting capabilities give installers the ability
to choose their own enclosure and custom fit unique applications as desired.
Wall Mount Kit
The Wall Mount Kit includes a Back Plate and Cover Plate. It provides a flexible mounting point for one (1) to four (4) Universal
Chassis. The Back Plate has convenient mounting holes for mounting the plate to any surface. Easy-connect mounting studs
are located on the plate aligned with mounting holes in the chassis. Thus, installers may mount a Back Plate on a surface or in its own
enclosure. With the chassis' installed on the Back Plate, the Cover Plate may be added as the final step.
Protective Enclosure
The Protective Enclosure holds either a single BaseBoard or a BaseBoard and from one (1) to three (3) add-on Expansion Boards,
each mounted on a Universal Chassis. Ample space is provided for cabling, auxiliary relays, terminal strips, power supplies and
batteries. There are also twenty-four (24) cable management slots available for use to organize and attach cable bundles securely to
the enclosure with tie wraps. The enclosure is finished in baked white enamel and comes with conduit knockout holes, ventilation
strips, a tamper switch mount and a detachable lid with a rekeyable lock. This enclosure is ideal for system integrators who need room for extra connections.
