Advanced Tab

The Advanced tab contains programs primarily utilized by an Adminstrator to configure the station, to start/stop the station, or to synchronize the client database on the station.

These include:

Monitor Window Edit

This process is used to define windows on an ECS station and their use. This data may also be updated using the DCS database forms.

Map Design

This process is used to build GIS Maps and define locations of views, points, and devices.

Debug Monitor

This process is used to remotely debug equipment.

DataSync

This icon is used to synchronize the client database with the server database immediately. This is normally setup to be an automated update every 10 minutes using the Windows Schedule Tasks.

Start VMG Engine

The VMG engine (video-maps-graphics program) controls the video, graphics, and maps windows on the station. This process also handles all video communications between stations.

Stop VMG Engine

This icon is used to stop the VMG engine which will also turn off the monitor windows being displayed to an operator.

Stop ECS

This icon is used to terminate the ECS Console Application.
