ECS Login

The ECS Console is started by an icon in the EnterpriseSMS toolbar where the operator will login to the ECS Command Station.  The login procedure automatically logs out the previous operator.  It is typically the first procedure performed at shift change.

Procedure

• Click the Login button in the lower left corner of the window
• In the LoginDialog text box, enter your login operator ID in uppercase letters.
• Enter your password using lowercase characters.
• When login is successful, your operator ID will appear on the bottom row of the ECS Console with the message 'Login Approved' next to it.  Should the Login Username or Password be invalid, the message 'Login Denied' will appear and the operator name will not be shown.  If unsuccessful, click the Login button again and repeat the process.

Once you have logged in, you may start processes you wish to run on the ECS.

NOTE:  The login is case sensitive.

Process Status

The status of various processes on the ECS is indicated by the color of the light shown next to it.  In the window above, the Debug Server is not currently operational since it is RED.  When the console is first started, the status will often display as BLUE (unknown) until the console has been able to determine the current operational state of the process.
