How to Acknowledge (Take Responsibility) for an Alarm

No work may be done on an alarm until it is Acknowledged.  Alarms display on the Scoreboard by priority, and stay there until released.  By acknowledging an alarm, an operator takes the responsibility for its resolution.  The user login name posts to the system logs along with the alarm when you acknowledge it.

Three ways to acknowledge an alarm:

When you see the operator ID on the alarm, it will be acknowledged and the cursor will move to its new location in the acknowledged set of alarms.  If multiple ECS stations are in use, all operators will the the operator ID on the alarm so they will know it is being processed.  They can then select the next highest priority available alarm for processing.
